command received but nothing happens

Post by quim.monteiro »

Hi there,
I'm just getting started so I'm probably missing something.
I've completed all the setup steps, but for some reason my very first command to open the calculator yields no results.

here's the session log output:

Code: Select all

2020-09-24 17:03:32.175 - Incoming Dropbox trigger ...

2020-09-24 17:03:33.184 - Processing Dropbox file: C:\Users\Joaquim\Dropbox\Apps\Push2Run\Command.txt
2020-09-24 17:03:33.184 - File contents:
Push2Run_ROBSPC
open the calculator
September 24, 2020 at 05:03PM

2020-09-24 17:03:33.186 - Device name in command file did not match Dropbox device name in options, no further processing action will be taken
2020-09-24 17:03:33.188 - Deleting : C:\Users\Joaquim\Dropbox\Apps\Push2Run\Command.txt
thanks!

I think you are almost there.

Can you please check the Push2Run - Options - Dropbox window?

The third field is labeled 'Device Name', the value for that field needs to match the value you have used in your IFTTT applet on the first line of the Content field - as per step 14 here: https://push2run.com/setup_dropbox.html

According to your log, you have "Push2Run_ROBSPC" in your IFTTT applet, my guess is you have something else in the the Push2Run - Options - Dropbox window.

To fix this you just need to change one to match the other. The value "Push2Run_ROBSPC" is used in the example in the setup instructions, because "ROBSPC" is the name of my PC. Would suggest you update the contents in your IFTTT applet to match what you see in your Push2Run - Options - Dropbox window.

Please let me know if that helps.
